A Brief History

The seeds of Over the River Theatre Company were planted in the winter of 2012 when its President, Michael Schottle, was living in the Milwaukee area. There, he, and a fellow actor / theatre lover formed New Revolution Artists & Productions. This soon morphed into Root River Theatre Company in December 2014 to reflect a company restructuring.

 

When Michael moved to Leland, NC in 2022, the company once again took shape after he and his wife, Diana, saw a real need for quality theatre in Northern Brunswick County.  In January of 2024, Over the River Theatre Company was born.
